Milly-Molly-Mandy
On the right is my Milly-Molly-Mandy
Stories book that I received in the 1950’s.
It is minus its brown cardboard cover. The book has two staples in the
middle to keep it together (wasn’t bound).
The book on the left was published in 1983. This story was first
published in Great Britain by Harrap in 1928 and Joyce Lankester Brisley is the
author and illustrator.

Milly-Molly-Mandy was first published in 1929. This version was published
in 1983. Further Doings of Milly-Molly-Mandy was first published in 1932. This version was published in 1982.
This book, Milly-Molly-Mandy
Stories just says published in Puffin Books in 1972. I am sure this is a later print than
1972. I made a Milly-Molly-Mandy doll
from a Jean Greenhowe pattern in 1985 along with other dolls using this
pattern. She is 10” in length.
There is one more book in the series, Milly-Molly-Mandy Again. This book is a hardback edition, the page with
the publishing information is missing. I think it was published in the 1950's. Also by the same author is Another Bunchy Book which was first published in 1951 and this is the 1955 edition with a hard cover.
