Squinty Dolls are Playing Outside

Tara and Sylvia are playing with the beads threaded on the wire stand.

Carolyn and Sylvia are in the paddling pool with the rings.

These two dolls are Cabbage Patch 9 inch dolls.

The girls are waiting for Holly to come over to play with the football.

Holly comes over and the girls play with the football.

Marilyn is in the container playing with the fallen undeveloped grapefruit.

Lorraine is standing with one of the Chihuahua puppies.

Dolls and Cushions

Jenny is going to look after four friends for three hours while their mothers have a break and go shopping for clothes.

The little ones love playing and crawling over the cushions. This cushion says Love is the greatest gift.

The girls are sitting by a floral cushion with their new knitted dresses on.

The front of this cushion says; Welcome each new Day.

Sylva likes the rabbit cushion.

Marilyn likes the squirrel cushion.

Love is never wasted   is on the front of this cushion.

This cushion has the alphabet on the front. I wonder if Jenny knows her alphabet?

This is a floral cushion with a dark background.

Jenny is standing by her favourite cushion.

Carolyn is tired and has gone to sleep. The girls have enjoyed their time with Jenny and the cushions.

Squinty Dolls and Wool

Sylvia is wearing a knitted crawler which was a knitting pattern in an English magazine in the 1960’s.

Tara is wearing a long knitted dress done in 3 ply wool.

Carolyn is sitting on a 1950’s blanket and wearing a knitted coat of wool.

Marilyn holding the toy cat made from the woolen material of a jacket.

This is an unmarked doll with moulded shoes and is approx. 15 cm in height.

These two toddlers are using the balls of wool to help them to walk.

A nappy change has been done. Handkerchiefs were used in the 1960’s as nappies for these dolls.  We used to pin the nappy in the middle with a safety pin.

These two dolls are wearing crawlers. The doll on the left is wearing a pixie hat and is holding an owl key ring which has light up eyes and makes a noise when the on button is pushed. The doll on the right is wearing a wee willy winkie hat and is holding a hedgehog key ring which has a light up nose and makes a noise when the button is pushed.

Lorraine is looking at the picture of cut out sheep from a recycled Swanndri. She would like to buy five lambs cut outs which have been designed by Marie Guinibert.
